"We are a local charity providing support for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness serving at the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire. We do this in two complementary ways: Drop in Centres We run drop-ins at three centres across the Waterside area. These offer a welcoming place to talk and help address visitors' issues as best we can. Whether facing eviction, living in temporary accommodation, sofa surfing or rough sleeping, our support includes: Help getting back into accommodation online applications for benefits including NFDC's Homesearch Register Signposting to local support agencies Hot drinks and snacks, charging & wi-fi Drop in at Home Going out beyond our drop-in centres, this initiative supports those recently who have been recently housed adjust to their new circumstances and helps them make a success of their next steps. This may be in practical ways or to offer a listening ear and encouragement to those dealing with isolation and anxiety and help them integrate into the community as fits their situation best. A part-time Project Leader is employed to facilitate these services with a team of trained volunteers."

Story

She did it! Together with the family, Sam got across the finish line and the rest of the family too.... fulfilling her dream and doing a great lot of good in the process...

Sam had long wanted to do the London to Brighton cycle. What better a time than her 50th do it! Andy works for The Crossings - a local homeless charity - and we personally see the good it does in peoples' lives facing homelessness.

Thank you SO MUCH for the incredible support you've been! Your generosity has blown us away! Sam set an ambitious target and (taking gift aid into account) more than doubled it.

The Crossings has a gift aid form which you can fill in so that donations can be claimed back separately.
