Who’s Chunky?
That’s my nickname, for over 30 years!
What's the Chunky Challenge!
It's been a few stone since I was last in the gym! So here we go...
I am riding over a 1000km on a bike at the gym everyday until the 18th September. Why a 1000km? It is the same distance as a return trip from Enetebbe Airport to the project in Arua, Uganda.
That's an average of 20km per day, 7 days a week, but some days more depending on my schedule. Not my idea of fun at all!
Why am I doing this?
WOW has a multi purpose building in Arua that needs to be completed. It needs rendering inside and out, a concrete floor, and full electrics. This is where training takes place and cluster meetings are held every week.
On Sundays church is based there, with over 100 people attending. This building also accommodates two of the women on the project, giving them a safe and dry environment to live in.
The local community come and use the well next to the building every day for fresh water. What an opportunity to build relationship and transform this community in Arua.
It would be amazing to see the building completed. I leave for Uganda on the 19th September with a team, where we will be working with the WOW staff and women on the project.
Thanks for supporting me
Andy
