Story
I hope this message finds you well! We have some intrepid bike riders at Morson Projects looking for some support and we thought we would reach out see if you can support them.
Andy Hassall & Andy Hartley have signed up for Brainwave's London to Paris cycling challenge between 3rd & 6th July! 🏆🚴♀️. We will be joined by 20 other riders from Cavendish Nuclear, Amentum and the NIA.
This event isn't just about pushing us to our cycling limits; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of children with disabilities and additional needs who need our support.
Every donation, no matter what the amount, makes a difference. You can contribute directly through our Fundraising Page.
Why Brainwave needs us - Brainwave is an incredible charity that does not receive any statutory funding. They rely on the generosity of people like us to continue their vital work. Each year, they need to raise a staggering £2 million to keep their services running.
Here’s why this is so important:
• £4,000: This is the cost to support one child for an entire year. It covers the therapy programmes and resources that truly transform lives.
• No Government Support: Brainwave receives no funding from the government, which means every pound we raise is crucial to their work continuing.
The Impact We Can Make Together – Brainwave help children with disabilities and additional needs locally and across the UK to achieve greater independence and reach their full potential. They do this through developing bespoke multi-disciplinary therapy programmes which covers physio, speech and language, sensory integration and learning and devilment.
By sponsoring us, you are supporting children like Robin who has cerebral palsy and his skills of holding himself up and pushing through his arms have increased massively.
His ability to sit for short periods of time has got much too since the family have been working on his therapy programme at home.
Or Kitty who has a rare genetic condition which has affected her physical, communication and cognitive abilities. Our team are working with Kitty on supporting her to walk between gaps and use a switch to communicate her needs.
How You Can Help – I would be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor our cycling challenge.
Thank you so much for your support and for helping us make difference in the lives of the incredible children Brainwave supports.
