🍩 50K. 20+ Krispy Kreme Stores. One Mission: Support Those Facing Cancer.
An ultra marathon and doughnuts… sounds fun, right?
Now imagine running 50 kilometres — further than the London Marathon — through the streets of London. Stratford. Canary Wharf. Hammersmith. Waterloo. And more.
On May 9th, that’s exactly what I’ll be doing.
Not for medals.
Not for doughnuts.
But for people facing cancer.
As a cancer survivor, this challenge is deeply personal. I know what it feels like to sit in hospital rooms. To face uncertainty. To feel vulnerable. Cancer changes everything — physically, mentally, emotionally. And no one should have to navigate that journey alone.
That’s why I’m running for ChemoHero.
🧡 Why ChemoHero?
ChemoHero was founded by Lisa Wallis, shortly after her own breast cancer diagnosis at just 30 years old. Lisa lived with cancer for nine years before sadly passing away in 2021, leaving behind her young family — and an extraordinary legacy.
That legacy is ChemoHero.
The charity provides beautifully curated care packages to people undergoing chemotherapy. These aren’t just boxes — they are lifelines.
Inside each box (worth around £180) are incredibly thoughtful, practical items for those in treatment:
Special creams for sore, sensitive skin
Super-soft toothbrushes for tender gums
A digital thermometer to monitor temperature
Comforting essentials chosen with lived experience
But more than the items, it’s the message that matters.
When someone is at their lowest ebb — exhausted, frightened, overwhelmed — receiving a ChemoHero box says:
“We see you. We hear you. You are not alone.”
That moment can mean everything.
🏃♂️ Why 50K?
Because cancer is relentless.
Because the journey is long.
Because support shouldn’t stop when things get tough.
With the incredible support of the Krispy Kreme team, I’ll be running a 50K route across London, visiting over 20 stores along the way. It will test me physically and mentally — but it’s nothing compared to what people in treatment face every single day.
I’ll be tracking the run live, so you can follow my progress around London and celebrate with me at the finish.
🙏 Please Help Me Make This Count
If you’re reading this, I’m asking you to do one simple thing:
Press the donate button.
Whatever you can give will help ChemoHero continue sending these powerful boxes of support to people who need them most.
Every donation:
Helps fund more care packages
Supports people during chemotherapy
Turns compassion into action
And yes — it will also give my legs that extra motivation when kilometre 42 starts to hurt.
Together, we can make sure no one facing cancer feels forgotten.
Thank you for your support. It truly means the world.
Andy 💛
