Story
I am once again running the Royal Parks Half for SLOW - a truly amazing charity. SLOW (Surviving the loss of your world) are an award winning bereavement charity that provide support for bereaved parents and siblings in the UK following the devastating loss of a child.
Dear friends of ours, @sarahffrenchie and @cyrilbrenn, have leant on the invaluable support that SLOW have been able to provide since the devastating loss of their daughter Cara. I was touched to be asked to run with Sarah last year and am now running for this amazing charity once again this year.
Please help in any way that you can.
MESSAGE FROM SLOW
We are hoping to support even more bereaved parents and siblings than ever and by running for SLOW and fundraising for us, you will help us achieve our goal.
We support families when a child in their family dies. All of our support groups are facilitated by trained bereaved parents or siblings. Our model of bereavement is unique and a direct response to what bereaved parents have told us they need.
Our work is centred around regular support groups either in person or via zoom. We also hold creative workshops for bereaved siblings(up to 14yrs) and zoom meetings for our SLOWSibs 18+ group.
