In April 2026, I’m lacing up my running shoes and heading to Manchester with a goal to raise vital funds for Thread Ahead by completing the marathon in 3 hours and 15 minutes. 👟

✨ Thread Ahead ✨ is an amazing London based charity tackling two important issues: sustainability in the fashion industry and inequality in access to quality clothing for refugees and asylum seekers.

They collect brand new clothes that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute them to those in need, helping people who often have no access to public funds or the right to work. Many can’t afford basics like shoes or winter coats, and Thread Ahead helps bridge that gap.

What makes them stand out is their focus on dignity and choice. They create a shopping experience that allows people to choose what they wear, restoring confidence and self expression at a time it’s needed most.
