A group of us from the Evolv Energies' Aberdeen office (myself, Russell Grier & Kasia Dudko) have entered the Banchory Beast Race to raise money to support The Archie Foundation in Aberdeen, which helps babies, children and their families at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. The Beast Race is a 10km obstacle course race over tough Scottish terrain with large obstacles, water slides, icy loch water, thick mud and swamp crossings. And more mud. Very cold mud.

Russell has experienced first-hand the support which Archie provides when his second son, Thomas, was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in 2023. Being able to use the onsite family accommodation meant they could stay close to him during a very challenging time, and it made an enormous difference to them.

Thankfully, Tom is now fit and well and approaching his third birthday. Both Russell and his wife will never forget the care and support they received when he was born.

Our Beast Race team would like to help Archie continue to provide this invaluable service to other families when they need it most. Every donation is greatly appreciated and will help support the fantastic work they do.
