Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. For those who know me, you will be fully aware of my love of running and that I have spent the past couple of years pushing my limits to see how far I can go. However, what some may not realise is that my family has been deeply affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease. My wife, daughter, and her side of the family all suffer from this condition. After years of enduring dialysis, my mother-in-law was fortunate enough to receive a kidney transplant in 2016, but sadly, she is now back on dialysis as the transplant has failed.

In light of this personal journey, I have decided to take on a significant challenge to raise funds for a lesser-known charity that supports those affected by this disease: The Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity. On May 3rd, 2025, I will be participating in the Isle Of Wight Ultra Challenge—a trek covering an incredible distance of 106 km (67 miles). This will be the furthest I have ever attempted to run in one go.

I am determined to complete this challenge not just for myself but for all those who are battling Polycystic Kidney Disease. Your support can make a real difference in their lives. If you can spare anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated as we work together towards a brighter future for those affected by this condition.
