Gordon Cowan saddly passed away on 1-4-97 aged 25years old.

Season ticket holder at his beloved Motherwell FC, qualified referee, keen goalkeeper and golfer but most importantly a gentle giant.

For several years a group of his friends played golf for a memorial trophy in Gordon's memory

In 2004 we decided to start raising money to help others at the Beatson.

We have had many events over the years which includes our Annual Golf Day, Charity Ball, Christmas party night, Walking out of March, Snow Angels, Raffles, Bonus balls and many other events. We have raised over the years just over £465,00 in Gordon's memory which is incredible for a small humble town like Lanark.

Every penny raised goes to the Beatson Cancer Charity at the wishes of the Cowan family
