Story
We are Andy and Sasha, a father and daughter and this June we will be jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet at Headcorn aerodrome (with an instructor!) on a skydive in memory of our incredible son and brother, Jared, who we sadly lost to rhabdomyosarcoma cancer in October 2021, following 2 year battle with the disease.
Losing Jared has changed our lives forever. He faced his illness with so much bravery, strength, and a smile that never faded, even during the hardest moments. We are so proud of him, and we miss him every single day.
We’ve chosen to take on this challenge not only to honour Jared’s memory, but to try and make a difference for other families going through similar heartbreak. We are raising funds for Taylor-Made Dreams, a truly special charity that supports children with life-limiting illnesses. They create precious memories for families and provide care, comfort, and support when it is needed most. Sasha is also proud to be a young ambassador for the charity, making this cause even more personal to us both.
Taylor-Made Dreams supported us both during Jared’s illness and has continued to support us since his passing. Their kindness and compassion have meant more to us than we can ever put into words, and we want to help ensure other families can receive that same support when they need it most.
Charities like Taylor-Made Dreams mean so much to families facing unimaginable circumstances. They bring moments of joy, relief, and lasting memories during the toughest times, and that is something we want to help continue for others.
Taking part in this skydive is a huge personal challenge for us both, but it feels like a meaningful way to honour Jared and channel our grief into something positive.
We would be so grateful for any support you can give—whether that’s a donation or simply sharing our page. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help make a difference and keep Jared’s memory alive.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us support such an important cause.
