Tommy Trek · 6 June 2025 to 7 June 2025 ·

Tommy Trek is a fundraising challenge designed to mark the anniversary of the D-Day Landings in 1944.

Story

Tommy Trek is 40km night trek to commemorate D Day. We start Friday 6th June, setting off at midnight from the RBLI Village in Aylesford. We then trek through the night and the early hours as the sun rises over the North Downs, finishing at the beautiful village of Boughton Lees near Ashford.

My grandad Jack (pictured here) was there that day and survived the war.

Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a national charity. Since 1919 they have provided crucial accommodation, welfare and employment support to injured veterans and people with disabilities. They improve lives every day by inspiring those they help and supporting them to find work and lead independent lives. Right now, for every person they can help, there’s one they can’t.
