Story
In 2026, I’m taking on the challenge of running six marathons to raise £6,000 for the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital. It’s been 10 years since Marg, my wonderful mother-in-law, sadly died from cancer. Marg was treated by the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, whose vital work focuses on early diagnosis and saving lives, and this challenge is my way of continuing to support the incredible difference they make to so many families while honouring Marg’s memory- I know she would be incredibly proud of this challenge.
My planned marathons include the Doughnut Dash in Sunbury-on-Thames on 11 January (completed 3hrs48), Running Tribe Race at Chalfont St Peters on 24th January (Completed 4hrs25), the Magna Carta Marathon in Egham 21st February (postponed), the Brighton Marathon on 12 April, the Windsor 50 Mile Ultra Challenge on 18th April and the Great Limerick Run on 3 May- Marg’s hometown.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help this amazing charity continue its life-saving work—thank you so much for your support.
