Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Myself and Sammi will be raising funds for Neuroblastoma UK by doing a sky dive in memory of my son Jack who passed away in April 2024 just after his 5th birthday after a very brave and courageous 7 month battle with Neuroblastoma.

I had never heard of Neuroblastoma until October 2023 when Jack was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma, Neuroblastoma is a rare but an aggressive paediatric cancer that affects around 100 children each year in the UK. Approximately 50% of those children will have the high-risk form of neuroblastoma, which has a very high relapse rate and a survival rate which is around 40-50%

Jack was a happy wee boy who liked typical boy things such as trains, tractors, going to football training and going to nursery and touched the hearts of everyone he met. Jacks life was turned upside down in October 2023 when he was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma. I've tried to put into words what Jacks treatment was like, but nothing I wrote felt like I'd even touched on how severe and aggressive the treatment Jack and other kids battling Neuroblastoma have to bravely endure.

Having seen 1st hand how traumatic the treatment is for the kids it's always been my intention to try and raise money so that this cancer can be researched more in the hope of trying to find a cure, or less severe treatments to give the kids a better chance of survival. This cause is very close to our hearts so any donations are very much appreciated.
