Andy Heber's fundraiser for CMS Ireland

Andrew Heber is raising money for CMS Ireland
We connect and equip churches as they work in international partnerships to share God's transforming love through practical development projects. We work to support the priorities and practices of local church partners in Africa and Asia, in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Story

Carnmoney Parish Church have in recent years developed a link with churches in Olo Diocese, South Sudan and have been raising money to support them. Our latest fundraising efforts are to raise money to dig a new well in Olo to enable the local community to have clean and unpoluted water. We are hoping to raise money towards this project which will cost £14000. In addition in January 2026 I will be travelling to Olo as part of a C.M.S. team. As ambassadors for CMSI, we will be connecting with our partners and sharing in life together with them for a short time.

To raise funds for the well and to help subsidise my visit I am intending to do a sponsored walk along the ancient Pilgrim Path described by Geofrey Chaucer in "Canterbury Tales" from Southark Cathedral in London to Canterbury Cathedral: a distance of 90 miles. I hope to complete this in a week, reading "Canterbury Tales" as I travel along.

All donations are processed securely, simply click the button. You can share this page using the share options. This is another great way to show your support!

I would be very grateful for any help you can give me which will touch and enhance the lives of our friends in Olo Diocese. I look forward to sharing with you about my personal pilgrimage and visit to Olo when I return.
