Instead of celebrating 50yrs on this planet, I thought it might be best to try and give some opportunities to a few young people to help them benefit the first 50 years of their own.

The scouting movement played a big role in the early stages for me. It no doubt played a big part in helping me achieve what seemed unachievable at the time, which set me on the way to where I am today.

I help out at my local Scouts and so thought that this is a perfect opportunity to try to give some youngsters some skills and experiences to help them on their way. I’ll ensure any money raised here will go towards opportunities that could lead anywhere.

So instead of birthday cards, gifts or pints down the pub, perhaps you would help me out with my aim.
