Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On Friday 19th June, 12 members of Laceby Manor Golf Club will be taking on the 72 Hole Challenge in aid of Andy’s Children’s Services at St Andrew’s Hospice.
We’ve chosen Andy’s as our charity this year, especially as they mark their 25th anniversary. It’s a cause close to our hearts—having family members who work at the hospice, we experience firsthand how much their care and support means to the community.
Andy’s supports children and families affected by life-limiting conditions, offering vital care and support when it’s needed most. Their services include:
Hospice @ Home, providing specialist care in the comfort of the family home and allowing the families time with other children or time to themselves.
Community Support, including hospital visits, care planning, symptom control, and help attending appointments and special occasions.
Andy’s Amigos, groups that take place at the hospice creating fun, friendship and memories through therapeutic activities and allowing children to be themselves.
End of Life Care, ensuring children are peaceful and comfortable while supporting families during precious final moments. The team are on hand 24 hours a day for anything the family or child may need.
The Butterfly Suite is there to provide families with an extra week with their loved one, giving bereaved families a peaceful space to say goodbye. The dedicated team provide care after death for the child, emotional support and memory making such as casts, baubles, locks of hair as keepsakes for the families.
While 72 holes of golf may not sound extreme, the challenge means:
Starting at 4am and finishing around 8pm
Walking 20–25 miles carrying a 12kg golf bag with minimal breaks
Any donation, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. It costs £18,000 per day to run the hospice, with over 80% funded entirely by donations.
Thank you for your support .
