Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Andy, Max's Dad. I've been lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon in April 2026 and am running it in support of 1st Corby Scout Group.

My son Max is a Scout at 1st Corby Scout Group and they are currently in the midst of planning a trip to the International Jamboree in Denmark in July this year.

They keep camps and subscriptions costs as low as they can by fundraising where possible to subsidize events. 1st Corby Scout Group was 100 years old in May last year, and they put on a free camp for the 70 plus children in the group just by fundraising! So I'd like to help by running the marathon to help them with their Denmark trip.

Please share far and wide and help me reach the target. Keep an eye out for me wearing 1st Corby Colours on the day!

I’m also incredibly grateful to have the support of my t-shirt sponsors, Infonote (www.infonote.com) and V.A.L.U (www.v-a-l-u.com). As a small business owner, it means a great deal to be able to combine my professional world with something so personally important. Their support is helping me proudly represent 1st Corby Scout Group on the day — and every bit of encouragement counts over 26.2 miles!

Infonote builds practical software solutions for businesses, and V.A.L.U focuses on recognising and rewarding the people who make organisations great — so supporting young people who are building confidence, resilience and teamwork through Scouting feels like a perfect fit. I’m hugely thankful for their backing as I take on this challenge.
