Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2024, I was told I had stage 2 heart failure, and everything I knew about my life changed in an instant. Not long before that, I was walking 15 miles a day, feeling strong and free. Now, even climbing the stairs can leave me breathless. It’s frightening, frustrating, and at times heartbreaking to feel your own body hold you back in ways you never imagined. But through that fear, I’ve found a reason to keep going.
I’m raising money for Chest Heart & Stroke because no one should have to face this alone, and because more needs to be done to support people living with these conditions. On Saturday 30th May, a few friends and I will be walking 22 miles from Comber Pathway to Carrickfergus Castle. Every step will be a reminder of how far I’ve come, and how much this cause means to me. Together, we’re doing this to raise awareness, to honour the struggle so many people live with every day, and to help create hope for a future where heart disease doesn’t take so much from so many. If you can support in any way, it would truly mean the world.
Thanks Andy
