Hi, everyone.

I'm going to shave my hair and beard off and I'd like you to give me some money for doing it .... here is why:

On 9 October, Alicia will hopefully have her final round of chemo, following her diagnosis with breast cancer. It hasn't been easy, but she has faced this challenge with such bravery and we are all so proud of her.

Cancer throws many things at you, but hair loss was a particularly tough pill for her to swallow. It makes your fight very public and is probably the most overt sign of what is going on every time you step outside the house - something the brave face doesn't cover up.

During some of those difficult times, a fantastic family, who run a fantastic charity, gave us time, guidance and support - something we will be forever grateful for. So as we mark the end of this chapter on Alicia's path to recovery, I think it is appropriate that I find a way to raise a little money for The James Anthony Foundation.
