A bit about my Godmother:

Auntie Anne (as she was known to all of us including my friends) was the kindest, loveliest, warmest person you could meet. She radiated enthusiasm for everything, she made you feel like you mattered, like you were special and as if you could achieve anything. And she'd do anything for anyone.

She was my Mum's midwife and therefore the first person to ever meet me! And she loved to tell the story of how she delivered me to everyone we met, including complete strangers. She was so proud of it. She was one of our best friends in the world and our daughters adored her too.

She is irreplaceable and has left a hole in our hearts. There is nothing Auntie Anne couldn't fix, whether that be physical, mental or emotional. And we are so devastated she is no longer with us physically, but her legacy lives on in everyone she touched the lives of. A LOT of people. These 40 challenges are dedicated to you Auntie Anne. I will love you forever. We all will.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.

PAPYRUS was set up in 1997 by parents who had lost their children to suicide, they felt that no family should have to go through the pain and heartbreak that they went through after losing their children. Since 1997, PAPYRUS has continued to listen to and learn from the experiences of those personally touched by young suicide. Today, PAPYRUS works in many ways to prevent young suicide

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. Every year many thousands more attempt or contemplate suicide, harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling.

Our vision is for a society which speaks openly about suicide and has the resources to help young people who may have suicidal thoughts.

PAPYRUS believes that many young suicides are preventable and that no young person should have to suffer alone with thoughts or feelings of hopelessness.
