Story
In December, a routine scan revealed a diagnosis of stage 4 prostate cancer. Symptoms had been present for years but were unfortunately overlooked. A simple PSA blood test could have made all the difference, potentially catching this disease earlier.
Now, my husband is undergoing hormone therapy and awaiting radiotherapy treatment, there is hope to contain the spread of this life-altering cancer. This unexpected journey has shifted our dreams for the future, especially after taking early retirement just months prior.
I am participating in the AJ Bell Great North Run on September 7, 2025, to raise awareness about prostate cancer and its impact on countless lives. It is crucial to advocate for early detection and treatment options that can save lives. I invite you to support me in this endeavor by contributing to my fundraising goal of £500 for PROSTATE CANCER UK. Together, we can make a difference and help others understand the importance of early testing and awareness.
