St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.

Story

Two Friends, One Mountain, Two Great Causes 🏔️💙💜

In 2025, my friend Sandra and I are taking on the challenge of a lifetime: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.

I always said I’d do it when I turned 60—COVID delayed us, but we’re finally making it happen!

We’re using this adventure to raise money for two local charities that mean a lot to us:

💙 The Forge Hardship Fund – supporting individuals and families in Mid Suffolk with essentials like food, heating, and clothing.

💜 St Elizabeth Hospice – providing compassionate care for people in Suffolk with progressive and life-limiting illnesses.

We’re covering all the costs ourselves, so 100% of donations go directly to these two amazing charities.

Any support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or cheering us on—means the world to us.
