Story
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, I'm halfway through my journey now and things are looking positive. My prognosis is looking good mainly down to the fact that I do 'CoppaFeel' of my breasts now and again, although since I got to the age of having regular mammograms I have got a bit complacent relying on the too much but luckily I do still check as my cancer did not show up on a mammogram. This is why I am supporting CoppaFeel, getting everyone checking there breasts from an early age will hopefully make it become a life long habit that could one day save their life's.
I attend a craft group where I have some great friends who have also been an invaluable source of support for me during my journey and we are holding a "Booby" day on 3rd September at The Craft Room located inside Garners Garden Centre, Silverdale. I know a couple of people are unable to attend on the day and have asked if they can donate in another way hence this page. Only donate if you are able to and please don't feel bad if you can't. Thanks for reading and thanks for your support
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest.
We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
