Rosie May Sahara Trek 2025

So I retire this summer and what better way to spend term time, but on an October adventure!
That’s not how this happened! What really happened was …..
As many of you know in 2017 my oldest friend passed away. She was courageous, spontaneous, an adventurer and always ready for life’s next challenge. In 2014 she completed this challenge raising money for a charity close to her heart.
In her eulogy I read her words….
“You have my army of friends who will guide you, support you, be there no matter what. Just ask. They will be in my shoes for you.”
Her daughter rang me and asked me to join her, following in her mum’s footsteps in the sand. ❤️
It was never going to be anything else but a “yes”. So currently these feel like massive shoes!
And whilst I love an adventure this will be challenging.
So now onto the hard bit!
I need to get fit 🫣💪🏼
And raise at least £1000, but hopefully more.
Money raised goes to support Project Hope which supports single mums and their children.
Our team of Rosie May trekkers will trade the comforts of our homes for an extraordinary adventure across the breathtaking Sahara Desert. We’ll endure scorching heat and challenging terrain—all for a cause close to our hearts.
Why are we doing this? Because every step we take will help provide hope and opportunity to children and families supported by the Rosie May Foundation. Your donation directly funds life-changing projects, including education for children in Sri Lanka and safe transport initiatives empowering women in India.
Each trekker has committed to raising at least £1,000, a contribution that makes a massive difference.
We’re not just walking for the experience—we’re walking for brighter futures, safer communities, and a world where every child has a chance.
