Charlie and I are running Cardiff Half Marathon together in aid of dementia. A charity which is very close to his heart and so many others and we hope that this will be a small step in helping those who need it.

His story is below:

Every three minutes in the UK, someone develops dementia and the diagnosis can be devastating for the whole family. Many struggle to know where to turn, and are left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and alone.

In January of 2023 my Father was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, a prognosis that my Grandfather and Great-Grandfather also received in their lives, the change this has had on mine and my families life has been immense.

After witnessing first hand the support and care that Dementia UK nurses provide and in particular the Nurse that visited with my Father and myself I thought it necessary to do my bit to help them.

Therefore, I shall be running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October of this year, any money you can spare will be gratefully received by Dementia UK, a truly worthy cause.
