Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In December 2015, my fantastic Auntie passed away from cancer, during the last few months of her life she was cared for by the amazing staff of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
A few years later my beautiful Mum was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) which is a type of blood cancer. Sadly she lost her battle in 2023 and spent the last 24 hours of her life in Wellow Ward at St. Mary's Hospital, the "Hospice Ward", and received the best care possible from both NHS & Hospice staff. They are all angels and the care & support they provide to the families as well as their patients is outstanding.
Since losing Mum, I have also been supported by Hospice services, free of charge, as I accessed their Counselling programme to help me come to terms with everything that was happening.
On Sunday 19th October I will be running 10 miles in the Great South Run in honour of these super strong & courageous women, who I am immensely proud to be related to.
Please sponsor & support me if you can, this is my way of saying "Thank you" for the amazing work done by the team at Mountbatten, not only for the patients but for their families too. 💛🌻🏃🏻♀️✨️
