Story
In Loving Memory of Angie Nichol
Angie was a devoted wife, a much-loved daughter, a loving sister, a proud aunty, and a wonderful friend to so many. She brought kindness, warmth, and laughter into the lives of everyone who knew her, and she is deeply missed every day.
In April 2025, Angie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a devastating illness that progressively robs people of their ability to walk, talk, eat, and breathe. Despite her incredible strength and courage throughout her journey, Angie sadly passed away in November 2025.
To honour Angie's memory and help support others affected by this cruel disease, her beloved husband, John, nephew Niall and nieces, Helen and Kathryn, will be taking on the Great North Run to raise money for MND research and raise awareness of this devastating disease.
MND has a heartbreaking impact not only on those diagnosed but also on the families and friends who walk alongside them. There is still no cure, making research more important than ever. Every donation helps fund vital research, improve support for those living with MND, and brings hope that one day a cure will be found.
By supporting John, Niall, Helen, and Kathryn in this challenge, you'll be honouring the life of an incredible woman who meant so much to so many and helping other families facing the same unimaginable journey.
Please give whatever you can. No donation is too small, and every contribution, no matter the size, is truly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means the world to our family and helps keep Angie's memory alive.
