Angus Freeman is raising money for The Kids Network

North Downs 50 Challenge 2026 · 1 August 2026 ·

The Kids Network provides mentoring for children aged 8–11 having a tough start to life in London. Our year-long mentoring programme gives children weekly opportunities for fun, connection, and new experiences that are proven to boost their mental health, wellbeing, confidence and resilience.

Story

Last year the three of us walked 25km together, and thanks to the generosity of others we were able to raise a healthy sum for charity.

This year we going big! We're doubling up and going to attempt a 50km hike across the North Downs!!

So why are we doing it? Three reasons....

1. The challenge .... we all believe in the importance of getting outside our comfort zones, challenging ourselves and seeing what we can achieve.

2. Relationships .... We value the relationships we have with each other and continue to invest in and benefit from those relationships.

3. The opportunity to raise money and to help those who are less fortunate than us.

The Kids Network does a brilliant job supporting children aged 8-11 having a tough start by providing them with 1:1 mentoring.

We've all benefited, and continue to benefit, from such relationships and want to help others, benefit in the same way.

Any donation is welcome. With your support, we can give children weekly opportunities for fun, connection, and new experiences that are proven to improve their mental health, wellbeing, development, confidence and resilience.
