In 2019 I was lucky enough to spend some time with the Doig family in South Africa and got to meet Darcey, a wee bundle of energy. Tragically just a few months later Darcey lost her life in a swimming pool accident. She was only three years old.

In her memory, the Darcey Sunshine Foundation brings vital water safety education to vulnerable communities to try and prevent more terrible accidents.

I will be running the 2025 Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May and any donations to Darcey Sunshine would make the gruelling training that little bit easier!
