Anil Gopalakrishna is raising money for Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
“Trekking Everest Base Camp”

on 8 October 2025

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity (WHH Charity) is raising £200,000 to create the Willow Tree Hub – a dedicated space offering comfort, privacy and specialist support for families facing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

Story

In October 2025, I am embarking on an epic challenge to trek to Everest Base Camp with a group of friends.

I am doing this with one mission... to raise vital funds to build a dedicated safe space within the Warrington Hospital premises to provide support for families following the devastating loss of a baby. This is truly a special project and close to my heart.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can help and support the bereaved families.

Let’s make 2025 a year of compassion and change!

Donate now and help me reach this goal. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to know more.

Thank you for your support,

Anil

Why the Willow Tree Hub matters

Every pregnancy journey is unique, but for families facing baby loss or traumatic birth, hospital visits can be overwhelming. Hearing labour or newborn cries while receiving heartbreaking news adds to the distress.

The Willow Tree Hub will offer a private, calm space away from the busy maternity ward – somewhere families can grieve, reflect, and access specialist support. It will also house a Rainbow Clinic, providing extra care for parents navigating pregnancy after loss.

With peaceful counselling rooms and a tranquil garden for remembrance, the Hub will be a place of healing, compassion, and hope when it’s needed most.

Your donation truly makes a difference, thank you for your support.
