Do something amazing and abseil down the 200ft Senate House in Bloomsbury, all whilst helping people with life-limiting illnesses live better, for longer.

Story

03/10 Update:

*"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the abseiling event at Senate House has been postponed. However, I'm thrilled to announce that St. John's Hospice has arranged a new abseiling challenge for me to take on!

On Friday, October 4th, I'll be participating in a freefall abseil at Coramfields Park (93 Guilford St, London WC1N 1DN).

St John's Hospice support more than 4,000 people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across North London every year.

St John’s Hospice is committed to celebrating and amplifying life, enabling people to live well for as long as possible. They create moments of joy and compassion both inside and outside of the hospice and work to ensure that each of their patients and their families are supported through every aspect of their journey.

“It’s not about dying, it’s about living.”

Inspired by the love and strength my dad displayed during his battle with cancer, I'm taking on the daunting challenge of abseiling 200ft down the Senate House. While I'm familiar with indoor climbing, abseiling is a completely different experience, and it won't be an easy task. As someone with type 1 diabetes and a fear of heights, I'm pushing myself to demonstrate the same courage and resilience my dad exhibited.

St. John's Hospice, an incredible organisation that provided invaluable care and support to my family during our most difficult time, was more than just a place of care; it was a sanctuary, a home away from home. Their compassionate staff transformed our darkest days into moments of hope, offering unwavering support and comfort. Your generosity will help them continue to provide this haven to those facing life's toughest battles. Let's come together to ensure that no one feels alone in their journey.

By sponsoring my abseil, you will enable St John's to continue to provide quality, holistic care for those in our community who need it most. Thank you in advance for your support.
