Ben Nevis and Climbing Mount Everest 4 Alzheimer's and Dementia

Anil Sarpal is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Ben Nevis and Mount Everest Camp 1 Expedition · 2 December 2023

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Few years ago my grandma was taken away because she suffered vascular dementia.

My father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. I want to try and raise awareness and help others who are suffering and the families who are helpless against this disease.

Just like others I struggle with close ones suffering and I have to do something that will help others. For me pushing myself in a challenge that will benefit others is how I can find strength to help others.

So this time I am going to try and do a 24 hour treadmill walk and climb Ben Nevis in Scotland.

My next challenge is going to test my physical and mental endurance. But I need this as my way of becoming more mentally and physically resilient so I can offer support to people around me and contribute in a small way by helping those who need crucial support.

You are all amazing people - Please help me by donating on my JG page. I really can’t do this without your generous donations.

>>> I climb Mount Everest in December 2023.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.

Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
