Trekking to Everest base camp · 14 September 2025

Amazing students from Swansea University will be taking on trekking to Everest Base Camp on the 2nd September 2025 in aid of Hft. Your support makes an incredible difference to help transform the lives of learning disabled adults.

Story

Myself and a group of students will be trekking to Everest base camp to raise money for HFT.

HFT is a leading UK charity that has been supporting adults with learning disabilities since 1962. Their mission is to help individuals live the best life possible by promoting independence, choice, and inclusion. HFT provides a wide range of services, including supported living, residential care, and day opportunities, tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. They also offer specialist support in areas such as employment, education, and technology, empowering individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

HFT’s work extends to families too, offering guidance and advocacy to help navigate the challenges of the social care system. By championing inclusion and raising awareness, HFT works to build a society where everyone is valued and respected.

Your donation will help HFT continue to deliver life-changing services, from helping someone move into their first home to providing assistive technology that fosters independence. Together, we can make a real difference for people with learning disabilities and their families.
