This August I am going to do the Gower Bike Ride (35 miles) after being off my bike for the last two years due to a knee injury and then an operation. All donations will be going to the charity 'Dementia Friendly Swansea'.

Dementia is one of the most cruellest illnesses, devastating to the person, their family and friends. It is not only about memory loss. Dementia also affects the way person speaks, thinks, feels and behaves. In the later stage of dementia people will not be able to take care of themselves and may lose ability to communicate It is a serious progressive disease that is ultimately terminal. Unfortunately this is insufficiently recognised as such.

Dementia Hubs give support and advice to people affected by dementia and their loved ones. It is a heart breaking illness to all.

I am highly grateful for any donation you can make. Funds raised will allow Hubs to continue growing and provide much needed dementia support in Swansea.
