Thank you so much for visiting our page!
We are passionate about Global Care and the incredible work they have been doing for 40 years to help children living in abject poverty to give them an education, welfare care, food, clean water and most of all hope for a brighter future!
Together the three of us are walking the 40+ miles around the Coventry way on the 30th September and 1st October, so that's 40 miles in just 2 days! We thought in Global care's 40th year it was really appropriate to walk all the way around the city where Global Care first started. We are doing this to raise as much money as we can to help girls living in poverty to get access to education and improve their circumstances.
Girls in South Sudan are more likely to die in childbirth, than they are to finish primary school. Girls in Ethiopia have no provision or support when they have their period, so they miss school for several days each month, and have to use rags and grass as makeshift pads. Eventually they drop out of school having fallen so far behind, leaving them really susceptible to early marriage, and thus continuing the poverty cycle.
Together, we can help these girls and thousands like them. For every year a girl spends in primary school, her earnings can improve by around 12%! Please give generously and we can change lives! Small amounts can make a really big difference. Thank you
