A team of students from the University of Swansea will be raising money for Amnesty International and preparing to take on the Colombia Lost City Trek in 2025.

Story

I am a university student with a passion for human rights, and I'm taking on an incredible challenge to raise money for Amnesty International. To demonstrate my commitment to this cause, I will be trekking in Colombia in August 2025. Your donations will help Amnesty International UK expose human rights abuses in the UK and all over the world and to campaign for freedom and justice. Amnesty International UK work on a wide range of issues including women's rights, refugee rights, the human rights impact of climate change and in support of individuals whose rights have been violated.

I will be working alongside Choose A Challenge to take part in the Colombia Lost City Trek, where I will trek through the jungle and get to experience amazing culture and the stunning scenery that Colombia has to offer. At the end of my trek I will reach the ancient ruins of the Lost City. This will be an amazing experience, but most importantly, will be done to raise money for a good cause.

While at university during my final year, I will be taking up other fundraising activities such as bake sales, bucket collections and hikes. However, your donations would still be of great help, no matter how small or large of a sum you could offer, to contribute towards raising money for the world's biggest human rights organisation.
