Anjel and Matthew’s fundraiser for The PSP Association

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
On Friday, 13th August 2010, our Dad and Granddad, Ken Lancaster, sadly passed away after battling two incredibly rare degenerative brain diseases: Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD).
CBD, or Corticobasal Degeneration, is a devastating disease that causes a gradual worsening of movement, speech, memory, and swallowing. PSP, or Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, is another rare neurological condition that affects balance, movement, vision, speech, and swallowing. Together, these diseases affect fewer than 9,000 people in the UK, with around 6,000 living with PSP and fewer than 3,000 with CBD.
With my dad, Matthew, We will be running the London marathon in aid of PSPA to help raise funds and awareness for this important cause. Although I was only three years old when my Granddad passed away, I’ve heard so many wonderful stories about what a kind, caring, and fun man he was.
Please support us in honoring his memory and helping those impacted by PSP and CBD. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Thank you for your generosity.
