Story
If we don't act now malnourished children in Syria will very soon become starving children. The conflict has affected every aspect of their lives.
Syrian children are living in the world's most dangerous place to be a child and have suffered unimaginable violations. 2.6 million children have been forcibly displaced. In Northwest Syria alone, 26,720 children are acutely malnourished; malnutrition has become a silent killer inside Syria.
The cost of full treatment per child is £300, which includes a medical analysis, necessary supplies, food rations with a weekly follow up with each child for three months.
The deteriorating nutrition situation is mostly attributed to continued exposure of children and their families to unsafe living conditions, the impact of the COVID-19 mitigation measures, insecurity, displacements, and economic hardship, poverty, food insecurity, family separations and destruction of infrastructure.
Let's make a difference together.
