We are excited to announce that a Millin Charity Supporter is fundraising for The Millin Charity. Ann from Norfolk (a relative of Kirsty from The Millin Team) is walking the Hadrian’s Wall National Trail. It is 84 miles from Bowness on Solway in Cumbria to Wallsend in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Ann plans to reach Wallsend by the end of April 2023!

The Millin Charity is a community project based in Newcastle and Gateshead that provides specialist support to women. We work with women who face multiple disadvantages due to lack of local opportunity, language barriers, limited skills & education, poor mental health, cycles of ongoing poverty, racial discrimination and lack of self-belief.

The Millin Charity help women set up their own businesses, gain employability skills, improve their well-being, access training and be part of a supportive community of women working towards financial independence. Through engaging with The Millin Charity, women gain the confidence and skills to not only achieve their goals but to improve their well-being, their connections and their opportunities.

Ann has a record for long-distance walking and has kindly decided to take this opportunity to raise donations for The Millin Charity.

She has already raised £480.02 through PayPal and direct donations which is amazing!
