Three Peaks for Teddy
Teddy is a 4 year old from West Sussex, who is obsessed with trains! In July 2022 he was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. Thanks to your support, in February 2024 Teddy enrolled on the DFMO Study at the Penn State Children's Hospital.

Story

Challenge UPDATE! Andrew is now joining Annie on the Surrey challenge, taking place 11 November! 🙌🏻

We're a group of colleagues preparing to take on 24 miles and over 1,000m of ascents in one day to raise funds for Teddy's treatment in the US.

This autumn Alec, Vicki, Oli and Tamsin will tackling the Yorkshire three peaks totalling over 1,500m in height, whilst Annie will be navigating the Surrey three peaks.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) in under 12 hours. The route is demanding both physically and mentally, it's equivalent to walking a marathon (almost!) in distance and climbing higher than Ben Nevis.

The Surrey Three Peaks Challenge takes on Box Hill, Holmbury Hill, and county-top Leith Hill. Whilst these hills involve a third less climbing, with a total ascent of 1060 metres, the route is comparable in distance and will also require a lot of determination to complete in one day!

Please donate as much as you can to help Teddy and spur us up those hills!

Teddy is 4 years old and mad about trains! In July 2022 he was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50% chance of long-term survival at diagnosis. His parents, Katherine and Alastair are currently fundraising for potentially lifesaving treatment, either to get their son into remission or to try and keep the cancer away if his frontline treatment does go to plan. This could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds.
