At Alzheimer’s Society, we’re dedicated to building a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

For me, this cause is deeply personal. My mum has been diagnosed with dementia, and it’s completely and unexpectedly changed my relationship with her. It feels like I’ve already lost a part of her—and that’s a heartbreaking reality to live with. But even through the confusion and changes, she still knows and remembers me. And that gives me hope.

This journey has shown me just how vital support, understanding, and research are for families facing dementia. That’s why I’m taking part in a 40 km challenge walk with an incredible group of women, raising money for Alzheimer’s Society. Every step we take is for the people who live with dementia and the families who love and care for them.
