There's nothing like balmy turquoise waves lapping at the soft white sands of a sunny beach. That's why we thought the Croyde Triathlon would be perfect for us as we attempt a triathlon for the first time.

If you know Georgie, you'll know that she'll give anything a go, no matter how bonkers. And this is just the warm-up act for something much bigger later this year.

Anna has something to prove: maybe it's to heal from the traumas of high school sports, or that her underheight, asthmatic body will enjoy exercise.

Neither of us have attempted the likes of an Olympic(!) Triathlon before... we'll be completing 1.5km swim, 40km road cycle, 10km trail run.
