Anna Corner is raising money for Carli Lansley Foundation
In memory of Chloe Dunk

Wing walking · 30 August 2026

We provide free ECG screenings to young people (aged 14-35) in the Southend area to help detect any previously undiagnosed heart conditions. We also fund the installation of defibrillators in prime locations in the local community

Story

In honour of my best friend Chloe, I’m taking on a wing walk to raise money and awareness for Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).

Chloe and I had been inseparable since we were 9 years old. We grew up side by side—always together, always causing a bit of chaos, and somehow always getting into trouble together too. If my name was mentioned, Chloe’s usually wasn’t far behind. We were late to school more times than I can count, just laughing and messing around on the way, not a care in the world.

She wasn’t just my best friend—she was a huge part of my life growing up.

Even when life took us down slightly different paths after school, she never stopped being my person. When my dad passed away in 2015, Chloe didn’t hesitate—she came straight back to be there for me and support me through one of the hardest times of my life. That’s just who she was.

From that moment, it felt like no time had passed at all. We picked up exactly where we left off—like we always did.

On 26th May 2018, my world changed forever. I got the call to say Chloe had suddenly passed away, at just 20 years old.

Nothing prepares you for that.

After a long wait for answers, we were told her death was caused by SADS—a condition that often has no warning signs, even in young and seemingly healthy people.

That’s why I’m doing this.

Because there are tests—simple heart screenings—that could help detect these conditions early. Awareness and early checks can save lives.

I’m raising money for the Carli Lansley Charity, a charity set up in memory of another young woman who sadly passed from the same condition. They work to fund heart screenings and raise awareness, helping prevent other families from going through this kind of heartbreak.

If you can donate, share, or support in any way, it would mean so much to me.

I’m doing this for Chloe—for her life, her memory, and to try and make sure more people get the chance she didn’t.

Thank you for reading 💛
