David Stanley and I are throwing ourselves off Southend Hospital's 154ft tower block to raise vital funds to help get the Music Man Project to Broadway in memory of Sir David Amess · 16 May 2026

The Music Man Project is an award-winning, world record breaking service for people with learning disabilities, providing music tuition leading to performance. Run by volunteers, the charity gives grants for accessible education, promotes equal access, carries out research and raises awareness.

Story

The Music Man Project is the most incredible charity that provides music and performance opportunities for children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities. The charity was founded in Leigh-on-Sea by David Stanley BEM and championed by Sir David Amess MP.

It was Sir David's dream that the Music Man Project would one day perform on Broadway. This October on the 5th anniversary of Sir David's tragic death we are making that dream come true.

This will be a momentous moment for the Music Man project as they take their talent and their story to one of the greatest stages in the world.

Please help get them to Broadway by sponsoring my abseil down the 400 feet Hospital Tower in Southend.
