Story
This April, I am excited to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon for the first time. Every step I take will be in memory of my wonderful Dad who completed this very challenge back in 1989.
Losing my Dad has been the hardest experience for our family, but we find comfort in knowing he would want us to embrace life and seize every opportunity that comes our way. I once thought that running a marathon would be impossible due to a childhood illness, but now that I have been given this incredible chance, I am determined to give it my all.
My focus is not on finishing times; rather, it is about completing the course for my Dad and raising funds for vital clinical research—an aspiration that feels like a dream come true.
I am honoured to have secured a place with Team SeeAbility for the London Marathon 2025 on April 27th, 2025.
SeeAbility is a remarkable charity dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities or autism, many of whom also face sight loss. With their support, people are empowered to lead ambitious lives and achieve things they never thought possible—whether it's forming friendships, enjoying new experiences, or finding meaningful employment.
I am committed to helping SeeAbility make inclusion a reality by ensuring every voice is heard and that no one with a disability is left behind or alone. A donation of £10 today could help provide a communication device that promotes choice and independence. A contribution of £25 could support someone in gaining meaningful employment through SeeAbility's 'Ready, Willing and Able' programme.
Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility has been pioneering specialist support for 225 years—one of the oldest disability charities in the UK. My target amount is £2,225, and every contribution brings us closer to making a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you can spare anything to support me on this journey, I would be forever grateful.
This one is for you Dad ♥️
Thank you
