Story
Hi everyone,
We are Liverpool University Dental Students Society, and on 15th March 2026, over 20 of our members will be taking on the challenge of running 13.1 miles in the Liverpool Half Marathon to raise funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity plays a vital role in supporting the pioneering work carried out at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, one of the world’s leading paediatric centres. The charity helps to fund life-saving and specialist equipment, cutting-edge research, and enhanced facilities that go above and beyond standard NHS provision.
Every year, Alder Hey cares for around 450,000 children and young people, and thanks to charitable support, these patients can access the very best care in an environment designed to support not only their medical needs, but also their comfort, wellbeing, and recovery. The impact of Alder Hey’s innovative work extends far beyond Liverpool, improving outcomes for children and families across the UK and around the world.
By supporting our challenge, you’ll be helping to make a real difference to the lives of children and their families at some of their most difficult times. Any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated and will help Alder Hey continue the incredible work they do every day.
Thank you so much for your support 💛💙
