The Baddinsgill Belter- Anna's fundraiser for West Linton Early Learners and Westies

Anna Marshall is raising money for West Linton Early Learners and Westies

40k for my 40th Birthday Β· 24 April 2025

Early Learners offers childcare for 2.5 to 5 year olds and Westies after school care. To have fun through child-led learning, we provide a safe and stimulating environment. Being a Charity, we fundraise to help us provide all that the children need.

Story

I will soon be turning 40 and to celebrate I am going to run 1km for each year that I have been alive. I am doing so in support of West Linton Early Learners & Westies, our local not-for-profit nursery and after school club.

I plan to run around Baddinsgill until I reach a cumulative distance of 40km between the 18th-24th April (a marathon over the course of a week). I will run 5km each day for 6 days, finishing with 10km on Thursday 24th April.

I’d love it if anyone wanted to join me at 6pm on Thursday 24th April for the final push (you can chose either 5 or 10km). Perhaps you could even do a little fundraising of your own?

The route will consist of 2 loops of a 5km circuit on Baddinsgill Farm, mainly trails with uneven and often wet terrain, and quite a bit of ascent/descent (approx. 115m elevation) . It's not a race, it isn't timed, it is just a distance challenge.

Bonfire and beers at the finish!

Please note that this is not a formal running event. Anyone choosing to take part does so entirely at their own risk.
