Living in Havering, it's hard not to have heard of Saint Francis Hospice and the incredible work they do. However, it's not until someone close to you needs their support that you truly understand just how special they are.

Over the years, many of my friends have had loved ones cared for by Saint Francis Hospice during the most difficult times of their lives. Every single one has spoken so highly of the compassion, dignity and support shown not only to their loved one, but to the whole family.

This year, I'm taking part in Strictly in support of Saint Francis Hospice. Last year's event was something I watched with my parents, my aunt and uncle, who have shared a lifelong love of ballroom dancing—especially the Jive.

Over the past year, my aunt has been attending support sessions at Saint Francis Hospice. Her strength, determination and love of dancing have inspired me to take on this challenge, and I hope to make her proud when I step onto the dance floor.
