Story
On 26th April 2026, I'll be running the London Marathon for the wonderful charity Caudwell Youth! I first came to know of this charity because my partner's grandma is a volunteer with the charity. When I found out more about the amazing work they do for young people, not only in MK but also across Bucks, Herts, Luton and Slough and also found out they had spaces going for the 2026 Marathon to fundraise and support the continuation of this fantastic work they are doing, I had to sign up!
I started running as a hobby around 2 years ago when I started going to Parkruns on Saturday mornings (primarily, at the beginning, for the social side and the coffee after). As of today (31st July 2025), the furthest distance I've ever ran is 20k, which is waaay more than I could have ever thought I'd ever be able to run. So, marathon running is a whole new, terrifying and exciting world for me. Thank you for coming along on the journey with me!
Caudwell Youth provide one to one mentoring in the community, their up to 2 year-program offers long term support to young people who may have one or more of the following, mental health needs, care experienced, at risk of or involved in offending behaviour and at risk of exploitation.
They currently work across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes, and are keen to work in new areas and grow our current service to be accessible to all who may need it, with your support, Caudwell Youth can support many more at risk young people.
