The Reverse Manchester Runners will be taking on the Manchester Marathon on Sunday, 19th April 2026. We are a 50 strong team, all with one aim: cure Rett Syndrome. (well that, and cross the finish line in one piece!)

We are raising money for Reverse Rett and to keep Rett Syndrome research moving forward.

Hope has no finish line.

Unfortunately, due to a combination of life, and my cavalier attitude to training, I haven’t actually managed any proper runs since 2023 (oops), so full disclosure, this will be more of a hobble round the course, but I’m hoping you can find a few pounds to support our cause, which is so dear to our family, as we help to try and secure a brighter future for Jessie, and everyone affected.

The team will be running in honour of all the children in the cover photo above and everyone living with Rett syndrome!

Let’s turn Manchester purple! 💜

We want a cure for Rett syndrome and for whatever treatment shows improvements to be passed for use in the UK. Reverse Rett will leave no stone unturned until a treatment is available for everyone living with Rett syndrome.
